| Tropical Mist systems work by using two natural processes: thermal dynamics and flash evaporation. Both are completely natural and work together to create a very pleasant microclimate. In fact, our systems (when properly designed and installed) provide cooling of outdoor temperatures by up to 40 degrees.
So how does it work? Water passes through filters and is then pressurized by a special pump. This pressure forces the water through hoses and out of specially-designed nozzles; producing microscopic water droplets that "flash evaporate" and create a blanket of cool air in the surrounding area. |
